7th Annual Hematology/Oncology Picnic!

On June 17, Pascale's Pals had the opportunity to join with the Children's Hospital and some other organizations to support the Seventh Annual Hematology/Oncology Pediatric Picnic. It was wonderful to watch the patients, their families, their nurses and doctors come together to have fun and support each other without the kids worrying about going to the clinic and being treated.

We had the privilege of providing the tables, chairs, and balloons for the picnic. We were responsible for coordinating the Ha-ha Table and Cookie Decorating Table. We would like to thank all the hat donors, especially Cynthia Murray, who gathered 65 hats. As you can see from the photos, the hats were a big hit with the children. Each child was able to select a hat of their very own.

We would also like to thank the women's auxiliary club for donating the cookies for the cookie decorating table, the pharmacy for donating the syringes for the children to squeeze the frosting onto the cookies, and RJonathon and Hy-Vee for their assistance with decorating the cookies with goo monsters and other designs.
